Crossover Privates vs Multi-stage Growth / VC vs Classic GE

I know realistically one would never be in this position, but if you had offers from Coatue / Altimeter growth vs BOND / IVP / ICONIQ vs GA / TA? Which would you take and why? What type of person performs best at each type of firm / what is comp like? Out of banking, is there a path to crossover funds or are you better off at a multi-stage growth firm? Starting banking soon and think I want to do growth. Just confused on what archetype of firm makes the most sense if my priority is being able to invest in interesting firms and take a contrarian view. Also do care a lot about comp: am I just better off doing MFPE?
