Has it been done? I might have a good chance to land a ER position. I'm not planning on going to a Carlyle or KKR but is it possible to jump over to a industry specific (healthcare) VC/PE shop after 1-2 years to a 10-20 person shop say 300mm AUM? Would love any thoughts from people who have done this or know people who has done this. I come from a non-target and just looking at alternative routes.
Also is there a difference between ER and ECM?

ER is Equity Research, ECM is Equity Capital Markets. Two completely different things.
