European Investment Fund - Private Equity and Venture Capital
I've come across a couple of interesting job offers at the EIF. People in there don't seem to have backgrounds of the like of bulge brackets (saw in linkedin), so maybe it's easier to get into... It's also located in Luxembourg where I guess not many people want to go.
How do you see it to build a future career in PE? I believe the main thing you can take advantage of is networking, which happens to be apparently the most important thing in PE. And I also assume that the skills you can learn there and the deals you see should not be bad at all.

Dear all,
I wondered how you would rate this job in terms of learning curve and future prospects. Due to past experience i in IBD, I feel more attached to the Buy-side business. Any comments?
Tasks involved
Is this EIF as in Energy Investors Fund or Educational Investment Fund?
If it's the latter, it sounds like an FoF type role.
