I can't speak to Georgian directly, but I do have data from a 2022 comp survey for Canadian VCs. Please note that not all firms have all titles, larger AUMs have better comp, and I defaulted to Ontario median VC salaries where data was available. Max figures for comp can be almost double, and min as little as half, so there is a bit of variability between firms. Georgian is one of the stronger brands in the market, so I would guess comp is on the better side for Canada.

Some quick takeaways, in CAD:

Role, median salary, median bonus as % of base, median carry

  • Analyst, $90K, 11%, 0.75%
  • Senior Analyst, $95.5K, 11%, 2%
  • Associate, $110K, 20%, 1%
  • Senior Associate, $120K, 15%, 2.5%
  • VP, $155K, 20%, 2%
  • Principal, $173.5K, 20%, 5%
  • Director, $167.5K, 23%, 7.5%
  • Partners, $220K, 28%, 15%
