Growth Equity or MBB Internship
Hi all,
I am having trouble deciding between an MBB and a Growth Equity internship offer in London. I want to end up in PE eventually but which should I take? For context, the GE shop is purely Growth Investments. Also the salary for GE internship is £37,000 pro rata compared to £55,000 pro rata for the MBB. Do you think I should try to negotiate the GE?
Let me know what you all think!
At the intern level, your experience matters more than compensation. If it’s PE you want, then assess what will best position you for that.
Is the GE internship sourcing-intensive? Is the MBB program in a certain space? There are factors beyond what you’re prorated for 10 weeks that matter much more.
Thanks for the quick reply - yeah that makes sense on focusing on the experience. The GE internship is generic, but it seems that I might be placed with the Sourcing team. As with MBB, its just a general consulting internship role.
