How to pivot to VC (deal team) from ER?

Hi all - as stated in the title, I am wondering how one would go about getting looks/interviews for a position as a partner/principal/vp at a seed/series A shop? I'm currently a lead/covering analyst at a bank in a techy sector (think industrial tech oriented). Maybe it's nearly impossible without going the MBA route, but figured I'd get some outside opinions? I'm pretty sure I have the industry/financial knowledge/corporate contacts to do the job, but I'm struggling to figure out how to get my foot in the door with the right people since it's not like those types of roles are posted on job boards.

Any advice (including telling me there's no shot) is appreciated. Thanks.
