IB -> Entrepreneurship -> PE / VC
Exploring starting my own company and leaving my current role as 2nd year analyst after bonus hits early next year (will be 1 year after joining my current firm). Two questions:
- Is it reasonable to leave after a year for entrepreneurship purposes?
- Given likelihood of failure with any startup, I’m wondering if it would be possible to go back into finance and get a job at a PE / VC shop in 1-2 years after leaving IB
