IB --> Growth VC Exits
Seems like exits to growth VC firms (i.e. firms focused exclusively on series B+ or the growth teams of "all-stage" firms) are quite feasible from IB. For those of you who have made the jump/know people who have:
Do you see it as a long-term career path? It seems like there are plenty of partners at the SoftBank/IVP/Bond-type firms, as well as on the growth teams at Andreesen/Sequoia who came from IB. Do you see yourselves sticking it out?
What are your thoughts on the asset class in general? Is growth VC strictly market oriented and getting crushed rn as tech valuations bottom out? Or is there a way for it to be viable across market conditions?
