Intern at a VC in UAE
Currently, I am interning at a VC in the UAE, is this something that will be extremely useful in the future post-university or should I try and also intern in PE. Context: 18-year-old who was meant to study Management at LSE this year but missed my maths grade so am retaking and reapplying

Interesting question! I'm very familiar with the VC ecosystem in the UAE / MENA region, not too much with the PE space, but I'll try to take a stab.
The thing about the VC ecosystem in the UAE/MENA is that it is very early stage. Even "later-stage" VCs like BECO, MEVP, Global Ventures and STV only invest in Series A/B funding rounds most of the time, which is nowhere near PE level in terms of deal size/structure. Hence, I think that there will be little overlap between VC and PE and I would encourage you to try and find something in PE if that's your final goal.
