Internship at a VC Firm

What specific skills and competencies should I cultivate to not only stand out but also excel in my current role within a Venture Capital firm? Additionally, what strategic actions or approaches would you recommend for positioning myself as a key asset within the firm?

- Previous experiences as a founder, co-founder, or entrepreneurial endeavors (your own startup, worked in a startup, had a commercial enterprise on Etsy, eBay, anything where you showed commercial skills, ..)
- Tech experience (coding/dev, frontend, backend, ..) in the space the fund is investing in
- Deep academic knowledge in the space the fund is looking to work in if you haven't worked anywhere yet

In VC you tend to work with a lot of people, so social skills in this world would be beneficial.
Mindset: more bay area, less NYC.
