IRR time series - PE Funds - BO and VC performance

I need quarter IRRs time-series (at least 10 years) of private equity funds performing BO and VC investments.
I got accesses to Bloomberg, however it provides return at a single point in time. Does anyone know how to download time series?
I tried also with capital IQ but in this case only more generic information are available.
This topic has already been touched in past however I wasn't able to find a real solution to the issue .

I would appreciate if anyone could provide me with any other free source where to find this type of data. The aim is to run a regression on public market index for my Masters dissertation.

(I know that Prequin would suits me best but I cannot have access to it)
