Lateral VP offer at smaller VC fund...what is street compensation?
Ignore my title. Recent VP promote at a VC firm, latest fund size of about $500mn. Planning to move slightly earlier and join a fund, with the latest fund at $100mn. Still VP1...discussing compensation but what is standard compensation today in VC? How much carry? How much cash?

They have 4 funds already, so a bit more than that for comp
At $100M, my guess would be $200-250k cash and 150-250 bps of carry. At that size range it's so idiosyncratic based on how big the partnership is, whether there's a real junior team of scale, etc. that I could be totally off-base. There's not a very defined notion of "market" at that level.
