Multistage VC firms are slow and bureaucratic

This is more slow and bureaucratic than when I was back in PE. These firms are starting to push the walls of classic venture strategies and so the room to maneuver for any given individual is tight. However, these are the only institutions save a few that can meaningfully compete for the best deals. So it’s kind of shitty now. You’re likely a cog in a machine or you’re at a rare exception shop or you’re at a b tier fund getting slop deals done. Funds like Amplify amaze me. /rant
