PE Pre-MBA to VC Post-MBA

I am looking to transfer to VC post MBA, and I am wondering how well my resume fits: -Top Undergrad -Turnaround/Restructuring Consulting -Growth PE (focused on deal sourcing, active management of portfolio, and dealing directly with potential investments) -Potential top MBA

I know VC does not like traditional PE, but growth PE with a high degree of autonomy is more similar to VC. So I was wondering how I stack up.

The growth PE definitely helps (esp if you did a lot of deal sourcing). Hopefully you have a history of tech and software deals that you can talk about. Not impossible, but in general, you need to have a really strong story about why you want to make the transition and what about your experiences will make you a successful VC investor.

Having operations experience at fast-growting tech or software company would also look really good on your resume. Perhaps summer internships while in MBA.
