Question on VC Compensation
I know how VC comp works broadly speaking. But given that it usually takes 5-10 years for new investments to pay off with an exit event (sale or IPO), how do VC people get compd in the meantime? Do they just get a base salary+cash bonus before they get carry on one of their investments?
