Recording notes when talking to Founders?
I would say that ~30% of founders / CEOs I talk to use a tool that records and transcribes their calls for them but haven’t heard of VCs using them.
Does anyone in VC use them? There used to be such a big stigma around this so I’m wondering if it’s become normal to use them

Know some funds use Otter.ai or something similar. Other funds just use junior investors.
It's just so awkward since you are supposed to be the expert, but those tools work wonders and really help me focus on the business and not scrambling to transcribe the meeting word for word into OneNote. I know lots of early-stage founders are using granola and fireflies, but I don't have the balls to throw another grey square into a Zoom call for a Series B pitch I'm supposed to hold the key on. It just doesn't seem polished and might create a ton of headaches dealing with companies in states with 2-party consent.
Zoom/Teams needs to be a first mover and make it 'default on' for it to get any traction in the real world, otherwise it's just too corny.
