Hello VC monkes and hopefuls, I've noticed a lot of questions regarding VC/Growth compensation. Here's the data, gathered by a survey of folks in a community I'm a part of, for Analysts (fresh from UG, generally) and Associates (generally after 2 years in IB/consulting).
FYI -- I think the carry stats are very, very off to the upside. No Associate I know is getting anywhere close to 1% carry at any fund, let alone a $2B growth fund. (1% carry at a $2B fund would be worth $4M... if the fund underperforms and only returns 2x!)
