Should I add "angel" investments made through AngelList syndicates on my resume?
Should I add investments I've made in Series A-B companies to my resume? These investments are executed through AngelList syndicates (e.g., I am an LP in a person/fund and I can selectively choose deals they present to their LP base).
On one hand, I can pad my resume with good names I'm invested in (I have some good ones). On the other, I could see it being detrimental because I did not actually "source" them myself. However, I am knowledgeable about the spaces and so could be fun to talk about.
Thank you.
Bump
Thanks a bunch. Can you say a bit more about your rationale? I'm worried about looking like a chump because investing through AngelList syndicates does not make you a board observer nor do you get board docs (typically) each quarter. So my fear is the perception that I am gambling. However I do expert calls before investing so it's not completely insane.
I think it's fine provided you have a clearly laid out thesis ready to go and offer that if someone asks during the interview stage. You need to make sure you don't come across as one of those doctors moonlighting as an idiot InVeSTinG iN VeNTuRe via random AL syndicates.
Awesome. Thanks. I can back up my thesis with written theses I put together on each company. Thank you.
