Small VC fund Associate salary
I recently accepted a venture capital internship for a small VC fund (under 50m). They are a relatively new fund who invest in early stage Fintech and Real Estate companies. All the team members have good backgrounds (Blackstone, Piper Jeffray, IB), they informed me that I would be up for an associate position post graduation as they call it an "associate" if I perform well during the summer internship.
My questions are:
- What would an entry level associate compensation be for a small fund?
- Is it smart to get my foot in the door with a recently founded (2018) VC fund with respected and experienced Founders and MDs?
