Sophomore Internship: IB vs PE vs HF vs VC
How would an internship at a boutique IB, PE, HF, or VC rank in terms of best positioning myself for junior recruiting? Or is the difference negligible?

Well that depends.. what do you want to do junior year?
Hoping to do IBD.
Then do IB this summer.
You'll actually find out if IB is a good fit for you and is something you still want to pursue junior year.
You'll have a lot more material to draw from come interview time for all of those "why IB?" questions.
Thanks for the advice. I'm finding VC firms a lot more receptive to cold emailing - would doing a boutique VC internship still be advantageous for SA recruiting?
