Startup Software to Finance

I am a software engineer and have been building out a startup as an early engineer for the last three years right after graduation. I double majored in CS and finance and always had a passion for the finance classes. I am having difficulties seeing myself in the software developing world for the entirety of my career. I would like to make a transition into an IB role and know I will have to do my time just like the new grads. What is the best route forward? Network and try to land an interview? Get an MBA? Any advice is greatly appreciated.
