Tech startup roles available for PE associates

Hi all, giving some thought about long-term career opportunities. Just joined an UMM  PE fund with a focus on tech and am curious what kind of startup opps are available after 2 years of PE. Startups are interesting to me and not sure if I'll want to pursue a LT career in PE. Current thinking is to find an established startup (received funding, probably not too early stage) where I have strong conviction in trajectory / success. What kind of roles would make sense / how is comp? Assume I would take a large base pay cut and comp being comparable to PE would be solely dependent on equity.

Thanks for any input here.
