Thoughts on Volition Capital Growth Equity?

What is the reputation of Volition Capital (growth equity)? Not too much about them on this forum. How is a SA position viewed? Would it lead to possible ft opportunities at Tier 1 firms (Insight, Summit, GA, etc...)

Also comp, culture, and hours would be great as well

Dang... I applied awhile back for FT 2022 but now think I will be going elsewhere with my time and effort (especially because I'm considering IB). That's trash, especially in Boston

I'm at $170K all in (analyst). Hours are 50 pretty much every week, 9am-7pm work, dinner / catch up on work til around 8:30pm and head home. Friday's end early, like 5-6PM. Culture is awesome - everyone here is very outgoing / friendly, all people you'd want to grab a beer with and shoot the shit (from juniors to partners). Great office environment and really not toxic whatsoever. The job is very independent and self driven, so you don't have your VP calling you 24/7 or breathing down your neck. I tend to front load my weeks so Mon-Wed are bit longer and a grind and Thurs / Fri are much more lowkey.

Sourcing heavy yes, but it's not hammering the phones cold calling everyday. I would say my weeks look like 5% cold calls, 55% meetings, 15% diligence / evaluating opps, 25% thematic work / building my pipeline

Associate role essentially same as analyst except pay bump, more flexibility with hours, more responsibility in a deal team
