Nice try but really those opportunities tend to be taken up by venture arms of existing companies + offshoot funds of people who came from those backgrounds.
If you’re trying to get an allocation, tough luck to you making money because without a deep technical knowledge, you’d end up being a sucker.
Trying to hire from them
Not sure who focuses on AI-specific hardtech. I'd look at Matter Ventures, Playground Ventures, and, NVentures to name a few. Probably going to be hard to hire from them. You're better off finding someone that's got a hard-tech background from the industry and bring them on as a principal.
Engineer here – that sht is extremely difficult. You really need to be neurodivergent to understand ai in hardware.

Not looking soleone to design me a new best in class SerDes…but at least some understanding of what it is and how it fits into tech roadmaps and what the markers of possible success are, how to channel check with customers without sounding clueless…
