VC Firm Asks about Salary, Slow to F/U
Posting this in PE firm since sometimes their recruiting measures can be similar... I had one interview with the manager of health tech investments in the firm and she said she enjoyed the discussion and wants to move forward. She then followed up the email confirmation post-interview with a "I forgot to ask you salary expectations". I provided a "would be happy to see if I fit the range..." kind of answer. No response for 5 business days so I I replied with a reasonable figure range. She then took a whole week to reply to that and said the firm has been really busy and she apologizes but that she took my figure to the hiring manager... Is this typical? Weird for them to ask salary so soon and the gaps in time?
