Which VC / Growth Platforms have Associate Sourcing Focus

JMI Equity / Battery Ventures / Spectrum Equity all come to mind.

Not thinking Summit / TA type shops (too big)

Based on the most helpful WSO content, here are some VC/Growth platforms with an associate sourcing focus:

  1. JMI Equity
  2. Battery Ventures
  3. Spectrum Equity
  4. Insight Partners – Known for a large footprint and sourcing-heavy roles.
  5. Summit Partners – While you mentioned not considering Summit, it is worth noting they are sourcing-heavy.
  6. TA Associates – Similar to Summit, sourcing is a significant part of the role.
  7. General Atlantic – Sourcing is a key component, especially for junior roles.
  8. Greenspring Associates
  9. Volition Capital

These firms often emphasize sourcing as a major part of the associate role, with some like Spectrum Equity and Insight Partners being particularly sourcing-focused. If you're looking for smaller or mid-sized shops, you might also explore firms like Silversmith Capital or Level Equity.
