Equity Research to PWM

Hi all

Buy side ER w/ ~4 years of experience + CFA. Looking to possibly switch in to PWM as the client interaction + skills learned in person finance attracts me (vs. digging through company financials). I know this may be a 'step down' in terms of quantitative skills, but im sort of done with earnings seasons + pressure of stock picking long term. I don't care about the prestige as much, more of what fits for me personally.

Any of you guys have experience or feedback on the switch, and what specific roles/company structures within PWM would best fit (perhaps less sales stuff/brining in AUM in the beginning)

Cheers,
