FinTech to PWM/Asset Management

Hey guys,

After graduating in 2019, I decided to take on a role doing consulting at a fintech firm. I was a unorthodox move, but I wanted to try something new and IB did not sound like something I would enjoy. I've been at my current firm for 1.5 years, and I have developed such great technical skills. I get to work directly with executives from the largest global AM firms and help them do analytics.

I, also, have my undergrad degree in fin and econ and graduated summa cum.

I'm having trouble seeing what my path ahead would look like. I've always seen myself working in wealth or asset management, so I've been focused looking for opportunities there. I have a few reservations about this because (1) some of the positions seem largely like data entry, not really learning any transferrable skills or learning about the market, and job descriptions are vague (2) what if I dont actually like WM, am I going to be siloing myself to a specific aspect of finance? (3) pay seems lower than what I am currently earning

Anyone have a similar experience, or any ideas for "exit opps" from fintech to finance?

THank you!
