First Real Finance Internship - Goldman PWM, JPM TCIO, Private Equity, and more!!! What to pick??
Hi all! I am beyond lucky to have many offers, however, they are all over the place and I don't know what is the best option to pick for my future.
I am a finance student - unsure what I want to do!
Goldman Sachs PWM - Great name and pretty much double the pay I would be getting at the other opportunities I am listing. Downside, not as meaningful work.
JPM - Two opportunities here. One in TCIO and one that is more Accounting. Not as interested in these roles, but great name!
Private Equity Firm - A mid size firm, LOVE the people and has a great environment. Not amazing pay though... Is PE worth jumping into before going to one of these other offers? Should I be going down the IB route before entering the buy-side?
Smaller Asset Management company - Not a big name, but great staff and company environment.
Portfolio Management Company - for some good names, good teams, is this better than any of the other opportunities listed?
Valuation Advisory Firm - Not a big fan of the people I have spoken with, but any thoughts on jumping into valuation??
Business Development Role - Is it not smart to go into BD if I can go into it later on if I have all of these other offers? I think I would really enjoy this role, but I don't know if it is best for my career now.
What do I pick? Obviously pay is important to me which is why Goldman is so high on my list, but PWM vs these other jobs that pay less? Thoughts and opinions please!!

If your end goal is buy-side the PE Firm would most align with your goals. It also sounds like you like the firm the most, and if you're worried about SA pay, think about how much you would be making throughout your career vs an 8/10 week internship.
Depending on what year in college, what you mean by mid size firm, and what your end goal is. Here's how I would rank the options:
1. PE, assuming brand name firm (~1B+ fund size) and in NYC/Boston. Would give second thoughts if at a LMM firm or in the middle of nowhere.
2. JPM role in TICO is a great option if you land the portfolio mgmt group. It's basically a public credit focused buyside role (I did something similar at another bank that helped me end up at in BB IB). Brand name and great learning experience. The other groups in TICO aren't as appealing tho.
3. GS PWM
2nd year student (1.5 years away from graduation)
PE is 5-50 Mil investment size and over 2.5 Bil in revenue (not in NYC/Boston, but in a major city). Also, it is actually GE but for simplicity I said PE.
JPM TCIO is with Finance and Risk Data Operations.
