Really does my former academic institution proud...

Pretty much the story of Miami right there, questionable douchebaggery combined with obscenely wealthy parents.

brackmdj ... i'm graduating from OU and managed to land a position at a BB. I've always wondered what the recruiting scene was like at Miami. OU was horrible. I would imagine Miami was somewhat better? Probably not many BBs but regional botiques?

You got it locke,

Yeah I can't imagine how it was coming from OU, mad props to you. I had a few people in interviews at BBs give me some mad props because (and I quote) "Based on your academic institution, you probably shouldn't be here"

There are several boutiques and MM firms that recruit interns and FTs, but it's not much seeing how the average Miamian probably has no idea what an investment banker does.

most guys at miami can make VP at around 22 years old. maybe 25 if their circumstances are tough. by their circumstances being tough meaning that their dad won't let them have VP at his company very easily and they have to work for it a little bit.

for those without daddy's connections, its a straight path to wonderful places like big 4 audit in chicago or cleveland.
