Goldman Sachs "PWM Management Team"?
I was looking at job postings on my university website when I came across this: https://www.glassdoor.com/job-listing/imd-pwm-reg…
At first, it seems like a regular PWM role. But take a look at this excerpt from the job description:
"Analysts/Associates on the PWM Management Team have a unique opportunity to work directly with senior management on the development and implementation of strategic and tactical initiatives that drive one of the firm’s core businesses. You will be a key liaison for Regional Management Teams, Private Wealth Advisors, and many other business enablers in daily business operations. The position requires deep analytical abilities complemented by strong interpersonal skills in providing solutions to complex macro and micro issues in the PWM business."
How interesting is this role? Could it be a back door to senior management, or are you a glorified assistant to the head of PWM? Is anyone familiar with the "PWM management team?"
I have heard that it is a good job. Here is a thread and a couple of links that might help you out some:

Thanks, but my point was that the management team job being described sounds very different from a traditional PWM job. Those links are for regular PWM jobs...
yeah but i would just say that is because they are trying to put a new spin on it because when everybody keeps hearing the same stuff over and over again its gets old and they cant recruit more people
I feel most BB would not have a problem filling any role, including PWM, not sure if you actually know that this is the case for GS or if you're just guessing...
Something like this seems more like the regular jobs you're thinking of:

Maybe you're right but the job description in my original post doesn't sound like something a regular PWM analyst would be doing - for one thing it looks like there's no client interaction
well if that is correct how could you go wrong there that means you do not have do to deal with annoying people
it could be more of an analytical job than an FO job...
who knows ie never seen anything like that before
It's exactly what it sounds like...."MANAGEMENT." You're part of management. This can include everything from HR to administrative tasks for all of the PWM teams in the office to local ad-hoc work in each branch.
