Return Offer From Smaller RIA vs Recruiting for BB Wealth Management

I am currently concluding an internship at an RIA in my hometown (ab 1B AUM) and they are interested in giving me a return offer. I am currently filling out applications and doing HireVues for firms based in NYC (big and small), and am very torn with what to do. At this firm, I would likely have an opportunity to be essentially a personal trainee of the president who is the primary advisor and breadwinner for the firm. That could be meaningful as I begin my career with aspirations to become a financial advisor in WM. However, I’m not sure what the compensation would look like or what I should expect from an RIA of this size. Additionally, I always envisioned myself working in NYC, and although this firm’s proximity to the city isn’t terrible (about an hour train) it isn’t obviously the same as living there and I’m not sure reverse commuting would be worth it or reasonable. I need advice!!
