Under "2010 Internship Details", it says: Commitment to athletic participation Leadership in their sport and in other activities

It might lead the the conclusion that it is necessary to be an athlete.

 

Fair point. The program was targeted exclusively to athletes the first 4 years, but due to some rule changes there are NCAA problems with programs just for athletes. The banks understand this and don't require this, although they like to see athletic participation even if it's intramurals. As everyone in this forum knows, athletic competition is a proxy for the kind of competitiveness, drive, teamwork, and endurance that they look for in candidates. If you can demonstrate that through debate club, drama, military activity, etc you're fine. You don't have to be an athlete to show them what they're looking for.
