I lived in the Middle East for 10 years before coming to the US for college. A lot of American and European banks have offices in the Middle East to offer their services to Middle Eastern clients such as Deutsche Bank and BNP Paribas.
Not OP but just like you grew up in Dubai and came back to my home country for college(3rd world country), going through your profile it seems like you are well versed in wealth management, by any chance did you also try to recruit for WM positions in the ME?
I initially looked for WM internships in Dubai but for full-time analyst positions, I knew that I was more inclined and interested in the United States. I'm also a US citizen. I did an internship at a Dubai-based bank, but for the most part, internships are extremely hard to get in Dubai without connections.
Oh okay, I don't have any connections but i speak arabic, you think it would be possible and worthwile to try and get an internship in wealth management in dubai?
I'd say it's definitely still worth trying to get one. Any internship and any experience is better than none. You can also PM me if you want.
