Thanks for posting! I remember a very healthy discussion last year when the previous report was released. On a high level reading, some things stood out: -- Slide 5 with the large salary increases for both pre- and post-MBA positions. This shows the strong demand for strategy consultants and is solid proof to refute anyone who says there may be an MBA bubble, especially concerning salaries.
-- Slide 6 reinforces this. The trend of leaving to industry to get more $$$, and not just better hours/lifestyle or because were forced out by the firm. Consultants are highly valued by companies, and the premium that they pay is evidence of that.
This study does a pretty good job and painting the picture of what comp looks like for exit opportunities for traditional industry (F500) jobs and for private equity gigs.
I'm curious as to if anyone knows what "typical" comp looks like for startups (by funding stage) and VC firms at the pre-MBA level.
