2020 Full Time/Off-cycle Dubai

Hi folks,

Applied to a bunch of BB back in Aug/Sept for their 2020 intakes in Dubai (Both Off-cycle and Graduate programs).

Haven't heard anything back from them. Probably dead shot. But would love to have some insights from other members who are familiar with recruiting in MENA region.

Cheers.

Yup, got rejected by CIti as well. Silence from GS, CS, Barclays and MS. Got dinged by UBS, but then got an email from HR informing they've restored my application and are reviewing it.

Gave video interviews for EMEA location UBS, JPM and BofA. Been a month since i gave video interview for UBS. wrote them an email and received a response that they have received lots of applications. Anybody in the same boat?

No updates. Status says "Under consideration", which has been since a month. What abt you?

Any news from JP Morgan, UBS off cycle? Been waiting for almost two months for JP Morgan. There is no contact for the recruiter also.

For UBS, I'm aware. But JP Morgan, that's weird. I applied in November and gave hirevue and since then it has been under consideration. Well i guess, I can forget about JPM. Thanks for the info.

I'm curious: if you apply to a position in Dubai/Abu Dhabi but are studying in the UK, where do you do your AC?

Surely they won't fly you out to the middle east so do you just do them in London?

Recruitment in ME is a nightmare !:
they will ghost you !!! you won’t hear from there, they always take 4/6 months even if u reach final interview! interviewed for a Local Bank, interview took3 Months then got offer, negotiated salary, HR said they will review it, 3 months after no reply, then they barely sent me an automated rejection email !?! yep ! weird !
as for BB;
Barclays, Bank of America, JP & Standard Charted are the easiest - at least I applied to and got interviews.
for BAML, I interviewed in March, had 5 interviews phone callabd they shouted me after !
good luck, if I were you I'd take anything in London because you won't learn much
