2021 HF SA Opportunities?
Curious about 2021 SA HF apps? Know that many are unofficial, but what are some firms that are known to recruit SA's and have reputable programs? Familiar with Point72, Two Sigma, etc., but am speaking more on less-quant oriented HF. Thanks in advance.
a lot of the structured programs are at AM type funds - fidelity, wellington, alger, diamond hill, etc. DE shaw / citadel, etc. I'm guessing you already know about. Silver point does internships, I've heard of interns at scopia and samlyn in the past but not sure if they have a structured process or unofficial...
Most of the good name 1-5b / 1-10b funds have unofficial processes and don't really have a strict FT hiring process after the internship but some may given your performance and their needs at the time. Still worth going through the process and interning at the funds.
Who says P72 is quant-oriented?
Have a quant branch. But you're right, guess the whole thing isn't necessarily a quant fund
They have a small quant branch that is doing poorly and where they might even give up. P72 is arguably the most fundamental of all the big multimanagers. Hell, they even have an academy that teaches you how to be how to be a fundamental analyst.
Thanks for the clarification buddy
"buddy" Hope you don't address your boss at your internship this way
chill pal
