Growth equity fund vs BlackRock Strategy offer decision, long-term goal: MM PE fund
Hi forum,
I currently have 2 offers on the table, which I hope to get some advice from the forum.
I have about 2 years experience as an Analyst at MBB in Asia.
My goal for the next 5 years to get into a MM PE firm, however, due to my experience I was not able to get any offers from MM funds as of now.
Currently, I have 2 offers, both in HK:
1. New established growth equity backed by a corporate (Rev. USD ~2Bn), Analyst position - I hope to learn the financial hard skills within 1-2 years, and leverage this GE experience to jump to a "traditional" MM PE fund, or other growth equity funds, e.g. GS Growth Equity.
2. BlackRock corporate strategy, Associate position - I hope through their internal mobility program to get the chance to switch to their private equity arm after 2-3 years. I am really interested in their upcoming 3-5 years strategy plans, so the strategy work will actually be interesting to me.
So, which offer will bring me closer to my goal to get into a MM PE fund in Asia? Or any other suggestions would be greatly appreciate it.
