Analyst Role -- Lodging and REITS

I just got an offer from a really small shop, 3 bankers, who cover the Lodging/Equity Reits/ Mortgage Reits space. They do pre-ipo advisory, M&A, capital raising, etc. The bankers backgrounds are from MS, JPM, Lehman, CB Richard Ellis, etc.

Should I seriously give this offer some thought? How big is the area in real estate investment banking? Are there alot of exit opps coming out of it? I have been out of college for a few years working on the buy side, so this offer was out of the norm. IB always interested in me, feel it's an area where you could learn a lot but not sure about working for a small shop, covering reits, exit opps, how big banks view that etc.

What do you guys think?

Maybe I'm just cynical, but these are strangely broad questions coming from someone with "years" of "buyside" experience. These answers seem obvious.

Having said that, treat it as any boutique i-banking experience. Exit opps would be industry-related (in this case, RE), and you would probably not be looking at the sexiest and biggest exit opps ... just like if you worked at a healthcare boutique you would probably not be looking at a "megafund" HF or PE shop as an exit opp. But yeah, since you mention big banks, I'm sure you could move to a bigger bank as an exit opp if you wanted to stay in banking.
