Any good subreddits?
Hi WSO community, any interesting and insightful subreddits you guys follow? Mostly interested in hedge fund analyst research /portfolio management for LS equity, macro and/or quant. I'm starting my career and it's always good to see what the chatter is out there. Especially interested to hear from people who are more experienced in HF business.
Actually if there is a better platform than reddit, curious to hear about that too.
Don't work in the industry by any means but I tend to only use Reddit for learning math, ML, and other technical fields that this forum wouldn't cover otherwise. There’s also an economics sub that might cover HF stuff, but I’m almost sure it’s entirely theoretical research papers. So some of what you’re interested may be in those subs. Other subreddits mostly tend to be political cesspools
Security Analysis has some good investor letters and investing substacks
Thanks! This one looks pretty interesting
Go follow a few big dawgs on Twitter (like Paul Enright, S-curve Capital, Gavin Baker) and use the suggestion function to follow more pro investors there. They might have their own substack that don't get publish on reddit, provided their investment style aligns with yours.
Great suggestion, thank you
Does anyone have links to great substacks?
