Best Response

Cram the Vault/WSO guide and type out some set answers for the behavioral questions. Treat it like you're pulling an all-nighter studying for a huge exam. As said above, its really about fit. You won't really set yourself apart with answers to "How are the financial statements linked?" and "Walk me through a DCF" but you can easily get dinged. Have great responses to why banking, teamwork, leadership, etc. I found interviews surprisingly easy/straight-forward with this approach.

I had no finance background (engineering major + programming internships), crammed the Vault guides over a weekend, and still landed a FT BB M&A offer. Honestly, the technicals are quite easy to prep for, and by final rounds, most candidates can nail the technical q's, so it always comes down to fit.
