Anyone study for the CFA® exams while working as an analyst?
Just wondering if it's doable with the time constraints. Thanks.

I have heard it is very doable. If you are smart enough to secure an IB analyst gig, you're probably smart enough to study for the CFA while working. Just have good time management.
I tried for L2 and ended up not having enough time for it when my workload unexpectedly increased. I made the mistake of registering early. Even if you commit and start studying, hold off registering as long as you can to have an idea if your workload is increasing. View the increased cost of late registration as an option, because they do not give refunds.
I am doing a victory lap. A $1,000 victory lap. See y'all next June.
Get as much studying done early as you can, in case things come up at the last minute. I was terrible at doing work ahead of deadlines in college, but you have to.
It sucks. I might offer the opposite advice and budge more time than you think you will need as shit comes up and you can fall behind.
An analyst at my firm did level 1 and 2. He said it sucked...girlfriend almost broke up with him because he was studying for the test so much outside of banking. He had no prior finance background before being an analyst at an investment bank. Its a hard life. I would not suggest it.
