When I applied to BBs you could apply for up to 3 locations (I think there was one with up to 4). This is a max, so don't feel you HAVE to go for the limit. For me, it worked out great since I got the second location which was still one of my top choices. I don't think getting interest from one will take you out of contention for another location because another BB that I selected 3 at, had me in two processes (SF and NYC) at the same time. Hope this helps!

Did you submit 3 different apps for the locations (and if so did you know associates/vp’s in each to submit your resume) or did you submit one app and just listed a preference of locations that way. Thanks and so much!

Depends on the BB. GS you can apply to max 3 jobs (combination of city/division, so you could do IB in NY, LA, and SF, or IB/PWM/S&T in NYC) but other BBs there is no maximum with each city and role listed separately. At least one (either JPM or BAML?) wanted a preference list of cities and it was all one application.

In general most firms let you apply to more than one city (and you should if that's an option), but it's going to be hard to have people pushing your resume in every city for every firm. Focus on whichever one your school places most at and/or you have the most contacts at.
