Arma Partners - TMT
I am currently working as an Analyst / associate in London at a MM (Baird/Houlihan/Blair/HSBC) and currently looking for a lateral move into a TMT team at another bank, as I have a strong interest in Tech.
I am currently in the recruitment process at Arma Partners, a fast growing and global TMT M&A firm with strong dealflow and good PE/VC exit opportunities (https://www.armapartners.com/deals/). They have been growing fast over the last years and have one of the largest TMT teams in the City.
How is the culture? Does Arma pay well? How is the junior team? How are the hours?
Arma has quite an impressive list of senior people (almost every Partner / MD comes from a top BB or EB), how is the interaction as a junior with senior people?
I heard hours are pretty tough and I haven't heard good things about the culture as well, but they are a strong team. I know some Analyst/Associate moved to BBs
I can concur here. Had a few friends there but they all left as the hours/atmosphere were very tough. But you will have solid deal flow.
Heard that you will work at lot. Good stepping stone to go to TMT teams at BBs/EBs if thats what you want.
To be clear hear, it would be helpful to point out what firms do we mean with EB. For example, Evercore/Moelis while an “EB” their tech team in London are not superior to Arma Partners.

I can only speak about the London office. There are a TON of Germans and they seem to have a good dealflow since they also seem to work on saturdays (I don't know if it's common though)

Hands down the best dealflow in Europe! Have seen them on most of the deals in the European TMT space
