Arrested for Punching Cop at OWS Protests - How will this affect my ibanking prospects?
So I showed up to the OWS protests at UC Davis. One of my friends was dragged around by campus cops and I ran over telling them to stop because she looked like she couldn't breathe. Another cop mistook me for a protester and proceeded to tell me to leave and i refused. He then proceeded to pull out pepper spray and hand cuffs and told me to put my hands on the ground. I told him to go fuck himself (and some other expletives I dont remember). During this time my friend was writhing around on the ground after having been sprayed and in an attempt to control an already-sprayed victim, they sprayed her some more. This time the other cop sprayed me as well.
That shit gives you a burning sensation so, already enraged as I was, I struck the cop trying to arrest me, in the face. Not expecting this, he looked surprised as did the other cops around us. Then I proceeded to punch him at least 8 more times with both fists before getting tackled be the other 2 cops. The cop I hit ended up with a small bloody cut on his lip.
I was arrested on assault charges but released on bail for a bit.
NOW, the question is, how would this affect my job placement? I have a 3.8 GPA at UC Davis with 3 i-banking internships already (one with JP Morgan Los Angeles, one at UBS New York and one summer analyst position with a top boutique in LA). My SATs were both in the 99th percentile and I'm graduating in May.
i know i'll have explaining to do but would my resume be an automatic ding? Most likely I'll have to apply after doing a bit of jail time.
Don't know about the jail time, I'd hire a lawyer.

This is depressing as shit.
It's a very obvious troll. (1) Nobody at Davis has multiple BB internships, let alone in IB. (2) Davis doesn't even place in LA, so NYC is completely out of the question. (3) If he were 99 percentile in the SATs, he would have gone to a better school than Davis. (4) Nobody can punch a cop while in a group 8 times before being tackled. (5) ETC.
WE KNOW THESE THINGS TO BE OBJECTIVELY TRUE!
But still, this fucking thread is going to get 70+ hits because people like to play along with these stupid situations.
Then the same fucking guys create threads where they bitch about trolls, despite very clearly being the fuel to their fire.

If it comes up, just say that you attacked the OWS protesters because you were trying to protect capitalism. One of the cops tried to stop you, but you were uncontainable in your rage and while you were exctricating yourself from his grip, the cop just slipped and fell on his face, eight times. He doesn't remember anything and thinks you hit him, but it was just a misunderstanding and you are appealing now. You need to spin the story in a way that will help your personality come through and that will allow the interviewer to best see what truly motivates you.

I def. call bullshit. First off, it doesn't take 9 punches to a cop's face for them to arrest you. And they would have beat the living shit out of you.
And if its not bullshit, serves you right for trying to be a tough guy. No one is going to hire you an assault on a police officer charge. You've got bigger things to worry about. Go lawyer up and plan your post-sentencing life working at Jiffy-Lube.
