Associate interview test prep
Hi all,
I'm prepping for Associate interviews and have been told to be ready for a 2 hour test where I'll be given a press release and (1) need to answer a group of questions, and (2) prepare a one page summary - I plan to cover changes in OP y/y, NI y/y, changes in mgmt expectations, general trends in the industry... (feel free to critique that if Im missing something or off base).
Past posts suggested that I read research reports to prepare. My questions is, what overlap should I be looking for in the research reports?

What is this position for? Equity Research? Investment Banking (Coverage and Product groups)? Private Equity (Case study)?
Position is for associate in equity research. Industry not known,but I will be given a company press release with selected financials-could be quarterly or annual.
