At LSE for a Msc, should I apply for an Analyst role or Associate?

I have been working for 2 yrs at a top bb in a FLDP, quit my job, and am currently at LSE about to partake in a Msc Finance. I chose to go to grad school so that I could get rebranded and go into equity research - I didn't go the MBA route because I felt that the opportunity cost was too high.

Given my background, should I apply for an Analyst or Associate position? The Barclays career site has Masters in Finance as associate candidates, but was wondering whether it would be a better idea to apply as an analyst given that my previous experience was irrelevant.

Generally I think you apply for an entry level role coming out of an MSF. You can find some info on this at ANT's www.msfhq.com. Also make sure you have the titles right, I'm not sure what it is at Barclay's, but usually the bigger banks have entry level as "equity research associte" than junior analyst than analyst or something similar.
