Bankers - After all these years do you regret devoting so much time and energy to banking?
For those of you who thought you'd be putting in 2 years of IB (or a job with similar time/energy demands) and then leaving for something else that is less of a grind, but ended up staying in banking (or a similarly demanding job) for a longer period, do you regret devoting so much time and energy to banking?
I am only a student, but it seems like staying in banking for a long time would lead to regret, unless you are passionate about it, because banking would be everything and you wouldn't have time to chase a dream/spend significant time doing something every day that you love (people regret not pursuing their dreams/doing what they love).
Is it even possible to stay in such a demanding job for longer than 2 years without loving it?
