Barclays FIG

Friend is considering a lateral to Barclays FIG from a MM firm but I don't think he knows about this site so I'm posting for him. He's curious about PE exits. I know FIG is known to be tough for traditional PE but is Barclays any different? Any exits to UMM or MF PE? What about UMM/MF FIG PE?

Barclays FIG has the least hours / best culture out of all the BBs. I've heard about weeks where 9am-7pm is common. Exits don't come close to GS/JPM but you can definitely make it to top PE. There's been exits to WCAS, Apollo, Flexpoint Ford etc.

9-7pm was donkey’s years ago..... and even then it was more like 9-10/11 for analysts. I guess reputation last forever. FIG hours are in general longer than other groups and this is true across all banks. Not a sweatshop as compared to JP/GS but expect grueling hours. However, culture is still top-notch (relative to other BB FIG). After GS FIG, it’s quite an even playing field across other banks with a slight edge to JPM (though culture sucks real bad there and the trade-off is not worth it IMO)

Barclays FIG has really good hours compared to Barclays Healthcare, Technology, Industrials and many more.

lol... you are "asking for a friend" who doesn't nice about this site? nice!
