Hey everyone!
I just got my signing bonus in from an MBB consulting offer, and I'm looking to grow my wardrobe to prepare for next summer. The office I'm going to has a business casual dress policy for office work, and I'd like some advice on shoes, specifically shoes that I can wear for business casual dress as well as for just regular casual dress, if that exists.
What shoes:
1) Are very comfortable for office use (No incredibly hard leathers, etc)?
2) Work for both business casual and causal dress?
3) Work well with multiple colors?
4) Won't be to hot/awful in the Texas heat?
5) Are your personal favorites, and why?

Brown Allen Edmunds Wingtips or Captoes
Loafers work really well. You can wear them with the right jeans + naked socks and wear them out too. I recommend the Ferragamo ones over the Gucci ones if you have wider/bigger feet.
Don't know how they'd do in Texas heat though.
Big fan of all things Allen Edmonds. I have several pairs of their loafers, love them.

If you can get away with them, Cole Haan ZeroGrands. They do run narrow though.
Agreed, so comfortable. They have such a wide variety of colors/styles from almost dress shoes to basically sneakers.
These are still the best that can go between casual and business casual. So many iterations that they are still pretty hard to beat. Only downside is the sizing can be a bit out of whack from version to version - at least for my feet, which really shouldn't be that hard to fit.
Otherwise - Beckett Simonon makes some pretty nice, compelling and relatively inexpensive offerings. I'd rate them comparable to something like Allen Edmonds - albeit there is a pretty long wait time depending on when you get in. But for $150 - $200 some great boot and other options on there. Not had their sneakers, but look decent.

Underrated shoe: Austen Heller. Comfortable, light, and look great. Look at the Parkers, Crosbys, Greyhounds
